ANTIQUE PATINATED BRONZE SUNDIAL
ref. 399
This is an exceptional sundial which is 18" in diameter with a substantial gnomon which is 17" long. The beautifully hand engraved dial has a foliate six pointed star to the centre with engraved hours and quarter hour divisions marked making this sundial far more accurate than most. The dial has a wonderful original verdigris patination which natural weathering has bestowed up its surface. The dial was made circa 1880. The magnificent size of this dial would make it an interesting focal point to your garden or conservatory.

MYSTERY SWINGER
ref. 392
This is a good example of an original Mystery Swinging Clock made by Junghans in Germany circa 1900. This is the classically inspired 'DIANA' model which is very pleasing to the eye. The clock swings mysteriously unaided with a pendulum like action suspended from her outstretched arm. The figure of Diana is a lovely original Almond/Green Patination and is mounted on its original ebonised base. The clock runs for 8-days.

SUNDIAL - Thomas Sale, Bath
ref. 398
A decorative bronze sundial signed Thomas Sale of Bath and dated 16?9 above the signature. In our opinion we beleive his sundial would date circa 1900 and that the seventeenth century date is spurious. The dial has a good verdigris patination. The radiating rays of the sun face decoration giving the dial a very pleasing look. This quality engraved sundial which is only 8 inches in diameter would suit any home!
SOLD
Dimensions: 8 inch diameter
