A really nice convex dial clock with slim mahogany bezel, and fine pierced and blued steel hands, signed on the restored dial by the famous maker GRANT, LONDON.
The well cast brass bezel has a key lock with sprung opening, a side access door and key locked bottom door.
The good quality 8-day duration gut-line fusee movement is finely made.

A gorgeous and original RAILWAY CLOCK signed on the dial by JOHNOTHAN WALKER of 77 CORNHILL & 230 REGENT STREET, LONDON for the L & NWR (London & North West Railway)
This superb fusee dial clock, is as yet untouched. It's original dial is in a pure unrestored state. When restored we would like to preserve as much originality as possible. Restoration can be to customers specificitions.
Good, tight mahogany surround with key lock to bezel. Cast brass door bezel.
These railway clocks are increasingly difficult to find and original one like this even more so.
Prior to the Great War, the West Coast Route was owned by two railway companies. From Euston Station, London, to the Scottish border the line was owned by the London & North Western Railway, and from the border northwards it was owned by the Caledonian Railway. Also, as its name suggests, the London and North Western Railway served the north-west of England.

A very nice small size quality dial clock with original, un-restored dial bearing the name JOYCE, WITCHURCH.
JOYCE of WITCHURCH (in SHROPSHIRE) were highly regarded makers of clocks and supplied dial clocks to the Railways by contract.
This example is in prime English Oak and the dial painting is in excellent original order.
The large size fusee movement runs for 8-days with a heavy pendulum.
The clock has the usual features of side and bottom access doors.
These desirable small size clocks are very difficult to source, and due to their size can be fitted in almost any room without dominating it's surroundings.

A good small sized walnut cased fusee dial clock signed on the dial KLAFTENBERGER, Regent St, LONDON. The restored dial with fine blued steel spade hands and a brass bezel complement the overall look. The movement is also a small sized 8-day chain fusee drive, with a dead beat escapement for added accuracy, and is stamped W&H Sch, for Winterhalder & Hofmeier.
Winterhalder and Hofmeier were based in Schwarzwald, Germany. They made high quality clocks mainly for the English market.
Aubert & Klaftenberger, were very high quality retailers and had a shop in Regent Street, London from 1863.
This clock would date circa 1890

A very good quality 12" diameter cast brass bezel dial clock by this well respected clockmaker, MAPLE & CO., The original dial is painted boldly, and is clear and easy to tell the time with.
The mahogany clock case is of a good colour and patination. With a side access door and bottom door with key lock.
The substantial chain fusee 8-day movement bears the makers mark of GBE for Grimshaw, Baxter and Elliott makers of fine quality clocks.
